    • 1). Place sheets of newspaper on a tabletop to protect the surface. Stand the fruit juice metal can on the newspaper. Remove the top of the can with the can opener. Dispose of the top of the can in the trash.

    • 2). Pour the contents of the can into the plastic container. Place the plastic container's lid on and put it in the refrigerator for later consumption.

    • 3). Dribble four drops of dishwashing liquid into the can. Wash the can out with tap water. Dry the can with a paper towel.

    • 4). Stand the can on the newspaper with the open end facing up. Measure the height of the can with the tape measure. Make a dot with the pencil at the halfway mark on the side of the can. Draw a circle with the pencil at the halfway mark between the dot and the bottom of the can.

    • 5). Drill through the circle on the can with the portable drill. Insert the tip of the USB WI-FI adapter into the hole. Push the adapter through the hole until about two thirds of it is inside.

    • 6). Apply bonding glue to the sides of the adapter to adhere it to the can. Let the bonding glue set for three hours before proceeding.

    • 7). Go outside. Place a laptop on a table or garden chair. Place your directional antenna next to the laptop. Connect one end of a USB cable into the USB connector on the base of the adapter. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on a laptop.

    • 8). Rotate your directional antenna in the direction of a Wi-Fi transmitter that is broadcasting, for example, a free "Hot spot" Wi-Fi network at a coffee shop or in a shopping center or mall.

    • 9). Click "Start" on the laptop. Select "Control Panel" from the pop-up menu. Select the "Network" setting in the window that appears. Click on the "USB" connection option. Close the window by clicking the red "X" in the upper right corner.

      Click "Start." Select the default Web browser from the "All Applications" pop-up menu. Access the Wi-Fi signal with the default Web browser.
