• Make a sparkling wine basket. You can make the basket out of something like a wine bucket to make the "basket" useful and decorative. Or you can use a standard basket and fill it with many different items that go well with wine. Some examples are cheese, bread and desserts. Sparkling wines tend to be sweet so they pair well with desserts. You can also include all the things needed to make a simple appetizer, like bruschetta.
  
  

Multiple Wines

• Give multiple wines as a gift. Giving two different bottles at the same time lets the person try different kinds of wine. This is good especially if the person is new to wine drinking so she can experience different varieties. You can also give a wine of the month club membership. While these aren't all sparkling wines, check to see if the first can be so that you and the recipient can celebrate.
  
  

Dessert and Sparklers

• Since sparkling wine goes well with desserts, give it along with a cake or cupcakes that match the flavor of the wine. If you are unsure what goes with it, ask an expert to help you make a choice. Include some sparkler candles with it. This is a particularly good idea if you are celebrating a big event like a birthday. An Asti Spumanti goes well with chocolate covered strawberries, for example. This wine would also go well with a pumpkin pie. • Give the gift of wine and dinner together. Plan to cook a meal that goes well with the wine you have chosen to give. If you aren't a particularly good cook, or don't like to cook, then hire a chef to come in and make a meal for you and the gift recipient. Design the dinner food selections around what complements the choice of sparkling wine best. Rose sparkling wines are full, fruity flavors so they pair well with dark meats like chicken thighs. Dry white sparkling wines are like chardonnays and pair well with foods like French fries, fried chicken or white meat chicken. The dryness complements the fried and dry flavors.
  
  

Bottle and Glasses

• With wine, the shape of the glass you drink it from can slightly affect the taste and sparkling wine is typically enjoyed in flutes. A gift idea that won't cost too much more is to give a bottle of sparkling wine with two or four flutes. This way the person you give it to can enjoy the full flavor of the wine.
