How to Make a Paper Plate Elf
- 1). Paint a paper plate tan. Set it aside to let the paint dry.
- 2). Cut tan ears from the foam. Cut a red Santa-type hat with a green piece for the fur. Cut three red and two rounded foam triangles.
- 3). Glue the green trim for the hat to the top of the paper plate, then glue the red main piece of the hat to the green piece and glue the pompom to the end. Next, glue on the ears to the sides of the plate. Lastly, glue on the rounded triangles to the bottom of the plate to look like the elf's collar. They should be one red, then green to form a pattern. The points should be facing down.
- 4). Lay down the elf and paint on his face. He should have two beady eyes, a dot nose and a big smile. Then give him some red cheeks. Loop the ribbon and glue the ends to the back of the top of the hat so that your elf can be hung.
