- 1). Buy a cell phone data analysis tool. Two products that you might consider are the Dekart Sim Explorer and the Cell Phone Spy Elite.
- 2). Put the CD-rom that came with the package into your computer's drive and follow the installation instructions.
- 3). Take the white rectangular SIM card out of your phone and plug it into the reading device. You will need to remove the back of the phone along with the battery to get to it.
- 4). Connect the device to your computer using the USB port.
- 5). Go to the menu on your computer and select the software application that you installed earlier. Open it.
- 6). Retrieve text messages by going to "File" and "Read Text Messages." A list of all text messages will be made available. The deleted messages will be marked in red. To undelete them, go to the message that you want and right-click on it. Select "Undelete."
- 7). Retrieve the call log by going to "File" and "Call Log." A list of calls that were recently made will appear and the deleted ones will be in red. Right-click on the call that you wish to read and select "Undelete."
