This was my beautiful black and white Persian, Harley, taken when he was about 7 years old. He was a rescue kitty from the Humane Society, and I was one of the luckiest people in the world the day he came home to live with me. He had the most wonderful clownish personality and was a most lovable kitty.
Along with my other black Persian at the time, Hamish, he had his picture put on personalized photo stamps , which I had great enjoyment using when I mailed my letters.
Unfortunately,he had a poor heart and only lived to the age of 10, passing away from congestive heart failure.
Although I only had him for 7 years, he became a rather famous kitty, appearing as a cartoon (Harriet McTabby) in a health related comic strip that I drew for a local paper for a couple of years. In fact, the assistant editor of the paper wrote a touching and very heartfelt obituary for Harley when he passed away, which I treasure to this day.
My Harley was truly a very special kitty!
