How to Clean a Marble Hearth
- 1). Vacuum any dust or soot from the marble hearth using a hose or soft brush attachment. This will prevent the particles from scratching the marble during wet cleaning.
- 2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water and 1 to 2 tbsp. of stone cleaner or mild dish soap. Dip a sponge in the bucket and wring it out. Wipe the marble hearth with the soapy sponge until it's clean.
- 3). Empty the bucket and refill it with clean water. Dip the sponge in the water, wring it out, and wipe away any soap residue.
- 4). Dry the marble hearth with a clean towel.
