Winter in Gatliburg Has So Much to Offer!
Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is a picturesque vacation town nestled in the Smoky Mountains. Go Skiing
Ober Gatlinburg ski resort offers classes in skiing and snowboarding as well as equipment rentals. Learn to ski down some of the park's hills and enjoy the winter weather. Get a great view of Gatlinburg from the amusement park and resort's chairlift, which takes you high above the Smoky Mountains. Take the aerial tramway, which leaves downtown Gatlinburg every 20 minutes. The tramway takes you up over Gatlinburg and into the resort, offering you scenic views of the town.

Spend New Year's Eve in Gatlinburg. If you find yourself in the town around New Year's, the town hosts a ball drop and fireworks show downtown. The festivities start at 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve, and the lighted ball drops at midnight from the town's Space Needle, signaling the beginning of the new year and Gatlinburg's pyrotechnics show.
