- 1). Shut down your XPS and unplug it. Lift the latch at the back of the case and swing open the door.
- 2). Insert the new drive into the bay at the front of the case. Screw it into position.
- 3). Connect a SATA cable to the Data port on the drive and connect a molex connector from the power supply to the power port of the drive.
- 4). Close up the system and restart it.
