A sweet-smelling medicine for sure.
It's spicy-hot fragrance will stimulate your senses and invigorate you and make you concentrate to perform better.
It makes a physical and emotional euphoric feeling.
Some say it gives a feeling of joy.
Maybe they should make it an ingredient in anti-depressant pills.
Cinnamon will lower your blood sugar which makes it ideal for diabetics.
Some people take cinnamon supplements when they can't eat enough to lower their blood sugar.
Cinnamon is an antiviral (in vitro) too.
Research is being done to see what else cinnamon can do.
They are doing research to see if it lowers cholesterol too.
I sure hope so! It relaxes tight muscles, eases painful joints, menstrual cramps and headaches.
It increases circulation and helps in sweating when used in a liniment.
In 2011 scientists were conducting a study of the CEppt in the cinnamon plant which inhibits the development of Alzheimer's (in mice).
So far, it seems to be working.
Who knows, maybe they'll find a cure for this dreaded disease.
Other studies say they can't find any substance to the claims.
You can enjoy cinnamon's spicy flavors in cinnamon rolls, on cinnamon toast, on oatmeal, in ethnic cuisines.
Try it in your bath water or sprinkle it on your hands in the winter and put your mittens on.
It will stimulate your spirits and warm both your hands and your heart at the same time.
Some say it's an aphrodisiac because it stimulates the senses.
Remember Cleopatra? She used cinnamon to entice her lovers.
She put it all over her house.
It used to be so expensive that only kings and queens and the very rich could afford it.
There is so much good you can say about cinnamon and I have not heard anything to the contrary.
It is a win-win situation.
Who would have thought that a spice that smells good and tastes good, would be good for your health too? What more could you want? So if you want a spice that warms the spirit as well as warming the body, try Cinnamon, nature's all-around feel good herb/spice.
So the next time you are feeling down, try sprinkling some cinnamon around and deeply inhaling and see if you don't start feeling better.
Just don't do it on white carpet! When you go outside for the winter, try some cinnamon in your mittens and see if you don't feel warmer for it.
