- 1). Disconnect your cable/DSL modem from power.
- 2). Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to one of the "LNK SPD" ports on the back of your ASA.
- 3). Connect the other end of that Ethernet port on your cable/DSL modem.
- 4). Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the "MGMT" port of your ASA.
- 5). Connect the other end of that Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your computer's network card.
- 6). Power on your cable/DSL modem.
- 7). Power on your ASA.
