How to Make a Six-Tailed Naruto Costume
- 1). Cover the body of the person wearing the costume in a red long-sleeved sweatshirt and red sweatpants or use spandex to provide a clingy more realistic shape for the costume.
- 2). Apply dramatic makeup with a red foundation to costumer wearer's face. Add black eyeliner to his eyebrows and around the top and bottom of his eyes. Apply red lipstick to his lips. As an alternative, make a mask out of a paper plate or paper mache. Decorate the mask with paint, markers and glitter.
- 3). Sew six separate tails using sheets of 2 feet by 6 feet red fabric (or smaller if the costume is for a child). Turn each sheet inside out and machine stitch three ends together. Leave one of the shorter ends open. Turn the fabric right side out.
- 4). Stuff batting into the open ends of each fabric. Continue filling the tails until they are stiff. Hand sew the open ends closed.
- 5). Sew the tails to the pants. Hand sew one tail at a time and conceal as much thread as possible in the inside of the pants. Use a sturdy thread or fishing line to keep the heavy tails in place. Space the next tail several inches away from the previous one. You can also attach the tails to the sweatshirt or spandex top to equally distribute the weight of the tails.
- 6). Add accessories and character to the costume. Put matching shoes or sandals on the costume wearer's feet. Paint his feet as an alternative. Add white plastic bones on top of the sweats. Add battle scars to the costume by tearing and cutting slits into his clothing. Make medical stitches with black thread on his mask for a personalized touch. Apply fake blood for even more evidence of the six-tailed Naruto's violence.
