Facebook marketing is fast becoming the favourite tool of network marketing and internet business owners.
You can find and make friends with a whole bunch of people from all walks of life, you can socialize with other marketers to provide updates, tips, share lessons learned and so on.

, you can post updates about what you are doing, new content you have published, training you are running and the like, to all of your social network sites.
If you are highly active, you can actually post stuff up several times a day providing a daily drip feed to all your followers.
This is immensely powerful.
Over time, as you build up followers and fans, you can channel short posts, articles, videos, trainings, linked around your network marketing business or online business daily, which will reach thousands of people instantly.
Can you imagine how many leads you could generate for your business that way? It could explode your business - and aside from your time, it's essentially free advertising.
Facebook is of course a highly social platform so spamming and shoving your opportunity down the throat of your network of friends and fans is not tolerated.
This is where most marketers get it completely and fundamentally wrong.
Facebook (and Twitter for that matter) has two kinds of users, social users and business users.
The more you can integrate and intertwine the two, the better tool this will be for you.
To generate leads on Facebook, you need instead to create a social stampede.
And you do this by sharing your story, your value, your life's interests and activities, and your ability to help others.
This is what will really drive the process of finding people on Facebook who once they know you and become a fan, may then and only then be interested in partnering with you in your business.
The emphasis of the modern marketer must therefore be on personal branding and building trust through giving great content and being your authentic self.
If you are just starting out in internet marketing and don't yet have an impressive income story, that's fine.
You are in the process of changing your life, post about what you are doing, how it's helping you find success, how your life is shifting to the lifestyle you want to represent.
That's what people are attracted to.
Create the character you want to become and project that character and your emerging lifestyle out on the internet in everything you do: your content and your networking.
That's not to say you should lie.
The closest your desired character is to your personal values and interests, the better.
People will resonate with your journey and your honesty more than with your income - most don't believe the hyped up claims of how much money they earned this week or this month anyhow.
First, you create your profile in Facebook, write something authentic about yourself, your background, interests, hobbies, etc.
and what you doing right now to build up your new lifestyle.
Add a 'lifestyle' smiling photo to your main page, then upload photos of yourself, your family, your friends, having fun and enjoying life.
Start looking for 'friends' with similar profiles.
You can do this easily by searching on specifics, targeting people with similar interests, or perhaps network marketers who may well be struggling in their business and would consider an alternative.
Fine it tune it by selecting on age, gender, language, location, as well.
A good strategy is to identify your ideal prospect.
What does their profile look like? Are they mostly men or mostly women? Where do they live, what age groups are they? What are they interested in, what's their lifestyle and what do they want to know about? You can find all of this out on Facebook and target specific people according to their profiles and what groups they have joined already.
Find the top right on face book where it says "applications" and click on "groups" and put in your search terms.
Join the groups that interest you the most, start up conversations within the group for a while.
and spend some time focused on inviting individual people to become friends.
To be successful in Facebook marketing, you will need to accumulate a really big list of friends.
Aim for several thousand that you build up over a few weeks.
At this level, you should start up your own groups, laser targeted on gaps in the conversation you may have noticed.
Create some cool content to make the group attractive - videos, banners, links, ringtones etc.
This will flood your group with people hungry for information and tips on a new strategy or marketing method.
People love shiny new things and your group will grow fast.
Once your group is fully established, as a group owner, a new world opens up for you.
You can network with other group owners and leverage their friends list as well.
This is a truly awesome way to build out a bigger and bigger network.
You simply invite the people in these other groups to join your group, the pull is your group is cool and has great content, it is not about spamming the on your product or your biz opp.
With a large group that is well connected with other related groups, you have a superb targeted network and you will show up clearly as a leader in your industry.
When you create this kind of value, people in the business get to know who you are and what you stand for and how you can help them.
