Types of Chiropractic Care

Like many in the medical career field, Atlanta Chiropractors offer many types of services, and specialties.
Many also branch out from traditional chiropractic medicine, and offer more medical and pharmacological services as well.
So, how can one choose the best type of chiropractic care? By understanding what Chiropractors can do, and then having a plan on what you want them to do, you can choose the proper care options.
There are three 'accepted' types of chiropractic care, as well as two general, healing, methodologies used in the field: 1.
Straight: Just as the name suggest, Chiropractors who practice this methodology prefer the spine to be naturally in alignment.
If it is not, then medical, health and physiological problems can occur.
Doctors in this field specialize in helping to realign spines, and can provide dramatic relief to lower back and chronic back pain.
These doctors often do not use diagnostic devices, and instead, rely on the actual appearance of abnormalities in their patients.
While they can tend to 'snap' to a diagnosis, their years of experience in spinal injuries afford them a wonderful ability to fix your issues.
2.
Mixed: These are the more mainstream Chiropractic care professionals.
They believe in traditional medicine, as well as in realigning the spine.
These doctors often use diagnostic tools as well as holistic medicine in their treatment plans.
Additionally, spiritual healers, homeopathic medicine, and Chinese medicine also fall under the mixed category for chiropractic medicine.
Essentially, if you want a well rounded, very educated chiropractor who confirms their diagnosis, then a mixed specialist is really one you would want to consider.
3.
Reform: By far, the doctors who practice reform type chiropractic medicine are much like the normal doctor you would see in a hospital.
They strongly believe in traditional medicine, diagnostic tools, and specifically treat major disorders of the spinal and skeletal systems.
These doctors often have more than the traditional chiropractic degree, and have gone for their residency in traditional medicine as well.
Most physical therapists and rehabilitation specialists fall into the reform category.
You normally would not see a reform type Chiropractor unless your primary care provider wanted you to do so.
Most are covered by insurance, unlike other chiropractic care, as they offer traditional medical services.
As you can see, the types of Atlanta chiropractic care are varied, and multifaceted.
In order to choose the best possible care, you must first decide what type of doctor you want based on your unique needs.
