How to Make a Minatour Costume
- 1). Cut bull's horns out of the foam by cutting two triangles 6 inches high and 4 inches wide at the base. Roll the triangles into cones and glue, allowing it to dry to manufacturer's specifications, so they are secured in this cone shape. These will become the minotaur's horns.
- 2). Cut two pieces of wire 5-1/2 inches long and and insert one into the center of each cone from the bottom upward. Bend the bottom end of the wire up into the foam for safety. Curve the wires to give the horns a slight bend.
- 3). Glue the base of the horns onto the headband in the fashion you would like them to sit on the wearer's head. Let the glue dry.
- 4). Cut a strip about 2 inches wide and 1 foot long out of the fur material for the tail. Fold the strip over lengthwise and glue so that the fur is on the outside. Let the glue dry. Sew or safety pin the tail to the seat of the sweat pants.
- 5). If you do not have a toy axe, you can make one out of foam by cutting an axe head out of gray foam, an axe handle out of brown foam and gluing the two pieces together. To make an axe head, begin by cutting a rectangle from the foam. Cut the two short sides so that they curve outwards then cut the two long sides so that they curve inward. This will make a two-headed axe. Glue the handle in the middle. You can make the axe as small or as large as you like. Let the glue dry before handling the axe.
- 6). Cut two circles from the fur material to fit around the ankles of the sweat pants. Glue these to the sweat pants so that they fall over the wearer's shoes. The fur should be long enough to almost cover the shoes, like ankle hair. Let the glue dry before wearing the pants.
