PFDs, otherwise known as personal flotation devices or life jackets, are a boater's lifeline in an emergency. Federal Law requires boaters to carry at least one approved PFD for each boater aboard your vessel, but the Coast Guard urges boaters to wear a life jacket while boating, not just carry one.
