Keeping Email Marketing Off the Black List

103 7
Email marketing is an excellent method to notify subscribers of information, but can turn problematic without a good understanding.
Most people get a great deal of emails everyday and most are annoyed with marketing attempts.
There are ways around getting put on the internet providers black list, where email attempts are marked and deleted.
If the emails are ending up in the dead file of the provider or the junk/spam mailbox they are not working for the company like they should.
In order to have a successful email marketing campaign it is important to follow a few rules to respect the privacy and personal space.
Using an opt in or squeeze page is a great idea and it can help build a great marketing list, however it should be limited to those that signed up for marketing, emails, newsletters or whatever else the company may be sending.
The disregard for soliciting without the person's permission can cause them to ban the email or worse yet report it as spam mail.
If moved to the deleted file, the information never gets to the individual therefore stalling the advertising attempt.
If there is an allegation or note sent requesting information about an email marketing strategy from an internet provider make sure to answer it quickly.
Ignoring the request will not make it go away; it will only make matters worse.
Being placed on the blacklist can limit the ability to send emails therefore ruining a large portion of the email marketing plan.
Basically, it all boils down to a good balance between marketing and respecting others as individuals.
