How to Make a Bustiere Out of Pillow Cases
- 1). Use the first pillow case to cut out the two front pieces of the bustier. Each piece should be long enough to reach from the top of your bust to your hips and as wide as the widest part of your torso.
- 2). Sew two darts into each front piece, starting at the tip of the bust on either side and ending at the waistline. The width of the dart will depend on how much of a size difference there is between your bust and your waist.
- 3). Cut a piece of fabric interfacing that is the same size as the pieces of fabric from Step 2, after the darts. Iron this interfacing to the wrong side of one of the front fabric pieces.
- 4). Lay both front fabric pieces on top of each other, right sides together. Sew them together, all the way around, leaving a 1-inch opening in the seam.
- 5). Turn the front piece right side out, using the 1-inch opening. Sew the 1-inch opening closed.
- 6). To make the back of the bustier, cut two pieces from the second pillowcase that are each as wide as the widest part of your torso and long enough to reach from your armpits to your hips.
- 7). Cut a piece of fabric interfacing that meets the measurements from Step 6 and iron it to the wrong side of one of the back pieces of fabric.
- 8). Lay the two back pieces of fabric on top of each other, right sides together. Sew the two pieces of fabric together all the way around, leaving a 1-inch opening in the seam.
- 9). Turn the back piece right side out, using the 1-inch opening. Sew the opening closed.

Place the front piece of the bustier directly on top of the back piece. Sew them together up both sides. - 11
Cut the back of the bustier open all the way down the middle. Sew a zipper into the opening.
