Pinning on Pinterest Is Good for Business

The third most popular social media platform in the United States is Pinterest.
Facebook tops them, and Twitter comes in second.
The idea behind Pinterest is in 'pinning' images.
It is now one of the most rapidly growing social media sites.
Learning to use it is easy, and can be done in a short time; meanwhile it's fun.
Same goes with any marketing that your business does; understanding your market and your brand are essential.
You can start by putting keywords for your business in Pinterest's search.
See what images come up.
Some of these could be related to your product or service, so you can start to pin some of these to your Pinterest boards.
Images on Pinterest can show your product or service being used in certain contexts or life events and situations.
This helps people see your product outside of itself, possibly being used in a daily life context.
Use your keywords and add comments to the images you pin on Pinterest.
Make sure you cite any images that are not yours into your content.
You can either cite an image by copying and pasting the URL where you found the image, or by entering the name of the artist or photographer.
Each board on your Pinterest page is used for a different topic of your interest.
Make sure they are organized.
For example, I have a Pinterest board for my network marketing opportunities with related images and videos.
Then I have boards for 'Beautiful Places', "Quotes I Love', "Products I Love", and more.
So, your Pinterest profile can include images related to your business, but if you are able to share in a more personal way, it may help people to know you better, depending on your business.
In this way, you can not only promote your business, but also allow people to get to know you on a more personal level.
You can look through other's pins and boards through the search feature in Pinterest.
Make connections and follow those that have common interests.
Your board names and comments will be shown when others are searching, so be aware of the words you use.
When pinning images, think about what others would be interested in repinning to their boards.
You have the choice whether to link your Pinterest account to Facebook or Twitter.
If you choose to do this, your pins will automatically be shared on these sites as well.
Happy Pinning!
