How to Obtain a Bahrain Resident Visa
- 1). Apply for a Residency Permit with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (see resources).
- 2). Attach an application form for a visa (see resources), copies of the employee's passport, copies of the passports of the employee's family, a sponsorship letter from the employer, a copy of the employee's contract, and a copy of the health records of each family member.
- 3). Pay the $54 (as of October 2010) fee. Receive your visa from the General Department for Nationality and Passport Residence. The visa is valid for the period of your employment. A visa holder's family members may not work.
- 1). Submit an application for a work visa to the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence (see resources).
- 2). Submit the visa application form, the employee's passport, a passport-size photograph, a sponsorship letter, a copy of the employment contract, a health record and the application fee ($54 as of October 2010).
- 3). Renew your work visa when it expires. This depends on your work, but work visas will expire every one or two years, depending on the terms of employment.
