The Issue of Gay Marriage - Right Or Wrong

103 14
There is just no denying that gay marriage is a hot topic, especially in this country.
It is essentially divided into three groups of people, those who are strongly opposed it, those who are strongly in favor of it, and those who do not wish to make it their business for whatever reason.
The first two groups however, make this argument intense and very heated.
This article will provide you some different viewpoints on the topic of gay marriage just to get you thinking.
Many people who identify as being conservative in their political beliefs and/or religious, believe that gay marriage is wrong on a moral and social level.
They believe very strongly that two people of the same sex do not belong together, whether because of reasons that relate to what the bible has to say (or their interpretation of it), as well as reasons that relate to the nature of human beings and relationships.
For every opposing argument however, there is also a viewpoint that can act as a defense.
Some people who consider themselves to be quite a religious either strongly support or do not oppose gay marriage.
They interpret the words of the bible of their own religion's philosophy to not be clearly for or against the issue of gay marriage and homosexuality.
Marriage is an issue that is becoming increasingly heated and also perhaps accepted.
More and more states across the country are beginning to legalize and recognize it as part of a societal demand among those who wish to marry someone of the same sex.
While there will always be those who hold steadfast in their belief that it is wrong, it ultimately comes down to an issue of humanity and civil rights that cannot be denied to any person, regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
