How to Make a Sea Glass Windchime
- 1). Drill holes in several flat shells with a small bit. Drill slowly to avoid damaging or destroying the shells.
- 2). Glue pieces of sea glass to each shell. You can glue several tiny pieces to a shell, or one or two larger shards of glass.
- 3). Drill several holes in a piece of driftwood. You will need one hole for each shell and another hole to hang the driftwood from.
- 4). Cut one piece of string for each shell and one long piece to hang the chimes from. Tie the shells onto the driftwood so that they are each hanging at the same height. Tie the extra piece of string to the driftwood to hang it up.
- 5). Tie the wind chimes under a tree or an outdoor porch. See if the chimes ring together when the wind blows. If they don't, tie small feathers to some of the strands. The feathers will catch the wind, causing the sea glass covered shells to bump into each other.
