More helpful digital photography hints

Here are some more digital photography tips I hore will be useful...

Pick a Subject That You Like. Photography should not be considered a task. It should be considered relaxation for the soul. Besides the normal family and pet portraits you will be greatly rewarded if you find a subject you enjoy and feel passionate about to work on your skills. You can find inspiration in the smallest of  subjects. My favorite photography sessions at this time are flowers as witnessed by my free flower picture website. I like to spend hours at my local botanical gardens plugged into spa music and losing myself in the surrounding beauty. Go ahead….find that passion and reap the rewards.

Compose Within Your Camera's Viewfinder. Be aware of what you are framing within your camera's viewfinder. An unattractive telephone wire or even your finger could distract from your prize winning photography. Maybe you could take a more close-up photo of your main subject and alleviate the eyesores. Or maybe you could attempt to reposition your shot to avoid any unwanted elements. A photo editing software program such as Photoshop could clean up your shot but do you really wanted to spend time editing when you can make corrections while taking the shot? A keen eye will lead to success.

Eliminate Blur in Your Photos  -  Invest in a Tripod. A tripod would be a good investment if you have shaky hands which can cause blur in your photos. For even better results use your camera's timer function when on tripod. This will eliminate the movement of your hand on the shutter button which also causes blur.  The sharper  the photo, the better  the results.

Always carry your camera. If you can, carry your camera with you at all times. You never know when a photographic opportunity will arise. And the more picture-taking practice the better your work will become. Or you can scout locations and then can go back with your camera and tripod in hand to take your digital image masterpieces.

Point-and-Shoot Cameras Do Work Creatively. Point-and-shoot cameras can limit your flexibility but not your creativity. By creativity I mean your individual style of framing your photos and positioning of your primary subject. You can use the various automatic modes on point-and-shoot cameras to enhance your photography but a digital SLR camera has all the bells and whistles that will give you the ultimate manual flexibility
