The Specifications of a Ferrari 308
- From 1975 to 1985, the Ferrari car company manufactured the 308 models, an Italian sports car with a mid-size engine. This sporty racer comes in three flavors: GTB/GTS, GTBi/GTSi and GTB/GTS QV. Car engineer Leonardo Fioravanti designed the Ferrari 308 and it debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 1975. After the car was introduced, it made its way on the television show "Magnum P.I." for the 1977 episodes. The 308 model succeeded the Ferrari Dino 246, another Fioravanti design.
- All three variations of the Ferrari 308 come with similar specifications. The Ferrari 308 models are considered lightweight cars, weighing about 2,315 pounds. The car body in 1975 and 1976 was made of glass-reinforced plastic. Starting in 1977, Ferrari switched the body composition to steel. This change added 331 pounds to the vehicle, still considered a lightweight sports car.
