103 10
It is a well known fact that allergies occur in around 5 percent of children.
These allergy attacks happen when the body reacts to allergens contained in food or via pollen and mold and the body treats them as toxins, therefore creating an unpleasant array of symptoms that signify the body fighting the allergens.
Many allergies are often confused with food intolerance, but are in fact completely unrelated.
Some of the most common allergies are directed at properties such as milk, nuts and eggs for example.
There are a few symptoms that you should be aware of to prevent an allergy attack becoming worse in later stages.
These include the following main symptoms:
  • Itchiness
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
Many allergies that children experience tend to disappear at the age of 5 and above whether allergies such as those directed at peanuts stay with the child for the remainder of there life.
Proper caution and care should be taken when dealing with a child with an allergy as in some cases attacks can be fatal.
At this moment in time there is no permanent sure to prevent these allergy attacks from happening.
If you consult your local doctor he/she should be able to carry out some tests to determine what exactly is causing the child to react, once this is done that specific food can be avoided to prevent further attacks in future.
There are 2 types of test that are usually carried out on children.
One test involves taking a blood sample and conducting research to see what allergies the child maybe suffering from and the other involves pricking the skin and placing a specific food on there to see if a reaction develops.
Dealing with allergies is quite a simple process in theory once you know what causes an allergy attack.
Be aware of  diet and make changes where necessary to avoid foods that provoke an allergy attack.
Hopefully in time your child may grow out of these allergies, if not then it is just a case of teaching your child the basics of the right diet and precautions for later on in life.
