The large well fitted and modern kitchens in the Villa Purivida, your Spanish holiday rental, in Javea, Costa Blanca, offers you the opportunity to take advantage of fresh fish and produce available from Javea's old town markets and allows you the chance to try your hand at traditional Spanish fare.

The large private pool area of your Javea holiday villa is, perhaps, the perfect setting to enjoy traditional Sangria. Similar in concept to our party fruit punches where everyone has their own recipe, Sangria contains a Spanish red wine (Rioja or Tempranillo, for example), seasonal fruit (check the local Javea market for apples, oranges, peaches, nectarines, grapes etc), a spirit, such as, brandy, rum, cointreau, sugar (honey or orange juice if preferred), ice and carbonated soda (lemonade, club soda etc). What better way to relax outdoors or in than with your freshly created sangria fruit cocktail? Remember to chill before serving.

Tapas - Tapas are hugely popular with tourists and locals, alike, and although tapas are an appetiser or snack, they can also be a starter for an entire Spanish meal. Tortilla Espanola (Spanish omelette) is a delicious option and is made using eggs, olive oil, salt and potatoes and can, also, include ham, cheese, onions, chorizo or mushrooms. This form of tapas can be served hot or cold. Alternatively, garlic prawns, marinated olives or a simple tomato and basil salad make ideal starters.

Main Course - Your Costa Blanca holiday villa's dining room affords an elegant dining experience with family or friends (each dining room, comfortably, seats 6). Javea boasts an active fishing port, so, locally caught seafood and fish are extremely popular choices for a main course. Why not try your hand at sea bass ( fried with olive oil and butter, with shallots, fresh cream and ground pepper) which is exquisite served with a simple salad or what about swordfish, with shallots, fresh herbs, breadcrumbs, tomatoes and lemon?

Spanish Dessert- Still have room? Why not try Spanish Natillas, which resembles cold custard, but, with a creamier texture. An extremely popular Spanish dish, Natillas, is sometimes served with Spanish "Maria" biscuits within the mixture.

The Villa Purivida in Javea, Costa Blanca, available from villarentals4u, has been tastefully and luxuriously designed and furnished to make your Spanish holiday feel like a home away from home, whilst exciting your desire for a truly Spanish holiday experience.
