- 1). Analyze your hen house for points of unwanted entry. Replace any holes in the wire mesh, walls, roof, and floor if necessary. Make sure you keep the door closed at all times.
- 2). Ensure the coop opening to the nest boxes is large enough to fit only one hen through.
- 3). Put more nesting material into the nests and add a barrier across the front of the nest to prevent the hens' kicking out the material. This allows the hen eggs to be partially buried and out of sight, making it hard for the crows to see the eggs.
- 4). Place a fake bird of prey on top of the cage.
- 5). Keep pregnant hens inside their house to ensure they lay their eggs inside.
- 6). Use a sonic, or ultrasonic repellent device. Simply place it near the hen house and let the device do the work of using sound waves to scare away the birds.
- 7). Shoot at the crows with a gun. Any type of gun that fires projectiles or makes a loud sound will work. Shoot to kill or simply scare.
