You may have a number of reasons to keep your kitty indoors, maybe it's because you're worried about the effects of certain toxins such as pesticides or harmful plants, or the danger of the road.
Some studies have shown the cats that kept indoor live longer then those who are allowed to roam outdoor, so it might be beneficial to you both to keep them indoors, but you need to consider their quality of life.
To keep your indoor cat content there are a number of things you should do to help keep them happy and healthy, such as keeping the litter tray clean.
Make sure you clean out the litter tray daily using a scoop and if you can commit to doing this consider an automatic litter tray to save you the hassle.

Indoor kitty need physical and mental stimulation so ensure they are lots of toys for them to play with.
You'll find that your cat probably enjoys toys that contain the herb catnip.
Consider swapping your toys on a regular basis to give your cat something new to play with.
Spend quality time with your feline friend, it's even more important with an indoor cat that they feel loved and part of the family and there's no better way to show them this than spending some quality time with them.

If you don't find something for your cat to climb you might find that they take it upon themselves to climb your favourite curtains.
