- 1). Test the water supply in question using the test kit that came with your Sterox chlorination treatment kit. Once you determine the infection level of the water, you can begin disinfection process.
- 2). Place one Sterox tablet in the water for every 25 gallons of water present. Most kits come with 15 Sterox tablets, each containing 12.5 grams of the active cleaner (chlorine). Adjust the amount of tablets you put in if the tablets in your kit contain less or more grams of chlorine.
- 3). Allow the water to sit for the recommended amount of time (the time information can be found in the kit). and then flush the water through and out of the system. Once the treated water is completely out of the system, you can refill it without the risk of re-contamination to the new water supply.
