- 1). Turn the water on to the kitchen spray nozzle and watch the streams of water. Kitchen spray nozzles shoot multiple streams of high pressure water. The streams shoot out from small orifices in the face of the nozzle. Insure that all orifices have water spraying from them and none are plugged or dribbling.
- 2). Turn the water on to your bathroom faucet and watch the stream. The stream should look a little frothy, but still flow in a smooth manner. If the stream is a slow trickle without much pressure, the aerater is probably plugged.
- 3). Turn on the water to the utility sink and watch the flow of water. Since utility sinks normally do not have an aerator to smooth out the water flow, normal water flow will be fast-flowing and uncontrolled. The water flow will have a more solid look to it and not look smooth or frothy. Turn on the hot and cold water valves separately to insure water flow and pressure are the same from both.
