No Contact After A Break Up Why It Is Important
No Contact. It is a phrase you will have come across if you have been searching online about information in regards to a break up with your partner. A break up and how hard it is for the individual all depends on a wide range of factors. How long you were together, the intesity of the relationship, are children involved and so on. The list can seem endless. And while some people can seemingly go through a break up without showing hardly any signs of distress or heartache for many it can be one of the most challlenging and difficult periods in that persons life. This is where The No Contact rule should be applied and stuck to no matter what.Â
No Contact means exactly what it says. It means No txting , No facebook stalking, no telephone calls, no cold calling or drunk dialling in fact no nothing. Just silence. And while every persons situation is different in regards to how they feel about a Break Up the basic principles remain the same. If you do keep contact you are leaving yourself wide open to cause yourself further pain and grief. Ask yourself this Do you really want to know about your Ex and the new "special" friend they have met ? I think you know that deep down the answer is no.
It can be a difficult rule to follow as part of us as human beings are desperate to know what they the Ex's are doing, what they are feeling, where they are at. So if you Have broken No Contact (which many if not all of us do especially early on after a break up) forgive yourself and just renew your determination this time to keep it up for good.
Now it is really important to tell you what No Contact is really for. It is not as you might be made to think a way of hoping that your Ex comes sniffing around when they have not heard anything from you. Sure in a very small number of cases, I would say less than 3% of all break ups, No Contact will gain a response. But the truth is that No Contact will be exactly what we get from the ex. And in fact they will be probably be happy that you have finally stopped chasing them. Sorry if that bursts your bubble but its the truth. And it's better to deal with that and accept that as early as possible in the recovery process. False hope will only lead to more misery further down the line.Â
No Contact is for YOU and YOU alone. When you beg plead and cry and sell your self short in the hope that your ex will somhow pity you and take you back all you are doing is handing over ALL power to them, and leaving yourself absolutly POWELESS. And would you really deep down want to be with somone who takes you back out of pity ? Even if they did the problems that caused the Break up will still remain. They will just be covered over by the thinnest of paper. Which will at the slightest hint of trouble come away. No my friends you need to deal with the situation as it is. Take the pain, Go No Contact and start reclaming your life. Some day sooner than you think you will again re-start your life. Freedom and Liberty from the past are yours for the taking.
