GE Profile Washing Machine 7E Error
- The "7E" error can appear a number of different ways depending on the specific Profile model and LCD screen size. Error codes "E7," "F7," "7E" or "7F" all represent the same errors. They will flash on the LCD screen for 30 seconds and then appear solid.
- The "7E" error occurs when the washer is not getting water from the water supply. This error often occurs when the washer does not have enough water to fill up the tank. It can also occur during the rinse cycle. Unplug the washer for a minute to clear the error. Plug the washer back in. If the error does not occur again, then it was just a glitch.
- Check the water intake pipes and lever. Look to make sure the switches are turned fully on so the water can access the washer. Check the incoming pipes for any blockage that could prevent the water from entering the washer. Check the washer valve too to see if any debris or a clothing item is blocking the washer.
- If the water intake valves are on and functioning normally, there could be an issue with your sensor and circuit board. Contact GE customer service about the issue and they will run a control board test over the phone. If the test fails, then you will need to replace the control board on the washer. Talk to GE about your warranty and the needed repair parts.
