Home Business Ideas: How Many Home Business Ideas Do You Have?

103 2
Home Business Ideas- Is This Only a Fad? If you sit down at your desk, I bet you could quickly list several home business ideas that are likely still in operation today.
There are all sorts of health or dietary foods, cosmetics, electronics, cookies, lotions, and potions.
And if you ask your parents or grandparents, they will confirm that these did not exist two or three decades ago.
For me, this raises the old' eyebrow.
While the product may serve a purpose at the moment, will it remain as effective over time? So if I am going to pour my life into a product or service one of the first factors to consider is whether it's a fad item.
Meaning, did it surface because someone in Hollywood used it and another person is making money on it, or did it surface because of a true time-tested need.
Fads, as you know, come and go.
Some last longer than others.
And the funny part, the fads that fall out of the limelight for a decade or some, end up coming back stronger the next time.
Home Business Ideas- Does Everyone Have To Have It? Perhaps one of the best qualifying questions to decide if this home business idea hits the target is this: Does Everyone Have To Have It? Water is a great example.
Every person, animal, bug, bird, buffalo, or beluga whale needs water.
In fact, humans are typically 55% to 65% water.
So if I were to consider a home business idea of selling water, it would past the test.
Everyone has to have it.
On the other hand, not everyone has to have the weight loss products, or the cosmetics, or the other lotions and potions that get sold from home.
These are typically need-based but more often emotionally based purchases.
This is not to discount the positive effects of these products; it's merely pointing to the fact that a human does not "need" the products to survive.
Don't misunderstand me here; there are people who may need to lose weight, (me included) but they do not necessarily NEED your product.
They could do without or buy it from someone else.
Now ask this question: what is something someone habitually uses and unconsciously purchases? Water certainly falls into this category.
Food does as well, but there are many variations to the food need.
Some of you may want coffee on this list as it is the elixir of life! But not everyone drinks coffee or has to have it.
The Internet is slowly fitting into this description too.
Energy deregulation has surfaced another need.
That need is electricity.
Virtually everyone uses electricity.
It is something we all habitually use and unconsciously buy.
For me, this would be an area to zero in on, for a home business idea.
