2004 Infiniti Coupe Specs
- The 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe was a Nissan midsize luxury car and part of Infiniti's G series of cars that have been in production since 1991. The G35 also came as a four-door sedan. Nissan replaced the G35 with the G37 in 2008. The Infiniti G35 coupe shared the same platform as the Infiniti crossover FX sport utility vehicle and the Nissan 350Z roadster.
- The rear-wheel-drive 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe came with just one engine, which was mounted front midship. The fuel-injected, 3.5-liter V6 with a 10.3-to-1 compression ratio generated 280 horsepower, which is 20 horsepower more than what was available in the G35 sedan. The coupe's V6 developed 270 ft.-lb. of torque to help get the Infiniti off the starting line to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Nissan matched the engine with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. The coupe achieved 17 mpg during urban driving and 24 mpg on the highway. By placing the engine away from the nose and toward midship, the coupe's front-rear weight balance was 52 percent in front and 48 in the rear.
- Multi-link independent front and rear suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bars cushioned the coupe. All-wheel ventilated disc brakes with all-wheel anti-lock braking, as well as brake-distribution and brake-assist systems stopped the G35. It also featured electronic traction-control and stability-control systems.
- Nissan placed the 3,416-lb. Infiniti G35 on a relatively short wheelbase of 112.2 inches, with an overall length of 182.2 inches. It was 71.5 inches wide and 54.8 inches tall. Although, the Infiniti G35 coupe's cargo capacity was relatively small at 7.8 cubic feet, the cabin was more accommodating. Front leg room was 48 inches, with the rear leg room at 43.8 inches. Front head room was 39.2 inches, while front shoulder room was 53.7 inches. Total interior volume was 86.6 cubic feet. The fuel tank held 20 gallons.
- The 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe offered as standard equipment: fog lamps; Xenon headlamps; monochromatic front and rear bumpers; alloy, titanium and leather trim throughout the interior; tinted, heat-reflecting windows; air conditioning; an anti-theft system; a six-speaker RDS stereo system with cassette player and six-disc CD changer; a compass; a full floor console extending to the dashboard; and an external-temperature gauge. In addition, the coupe had an electrically adjustable driver's seat, low-fuel and low-tire-pressure indicators, power locks and windows, cloth seats, leather-covered steering wheel and a tachometer. Options included 18-inch wheels, sports seats, limited-slip differential, an electronic stability system and an active four-wheel-steering system. In 2004, buyers could add the Aero Package, which included a rear spoiler, and side, rear and underbody fairings.
