Story

• Ban Mido and Ginji Amano call themselves the GetBackers, their goal being to get back whatever their client has lost. They have special powers to help them in their tasks, but some of their enemies have powers, too.

• Ban has the powers of Snake Bite, which gives him intense striking power, and the Evil Eye, which gives his victim a horrifying hallucination. Ginji has the ability to generate thousands of volts of electricity through his body.
  
  

Origin

• The story began as a manga that spanned 39 volumes. The story was written by Yuya Aoki; the art was drawn by Rando Ayamine. The comic ran in "Weekly Shonen" magazine.

• The animation was done by Studio Deen, which is known for having animated "Ranma ½."
  
  

Release

• The anime was released on individual DVDs by ADV films in 2004. It was then released in two season set box sets in 2006 and 2007. The full series can now be purchased as a thin pack box set.
