How to File a Federal Employment Grievance
- 1). File a Title VII Discrimination Claim by contacting an EEOC counselor. This can be done through the commission's website.
- 2). Supply the counselor with specific details of the discrimination, including steps taken to address the issue directly with the employer.
- 3). Fill out complaint forms as directed by the counselor. Provide documentation that supports your case, such as memos, internal correspondence and copies of performance reviews and evaluations.
- 4). Provides the names of individuals involved in the complaint and cite specific examples of the discrimination. If it is possible for you to do so, provide the dates when discrimination took place and the names and contact information of witnesses who can verify your claim.
- 5). File your grievance online, via postal mail or through a commission field office.

Use OSC Form 11 to report a complaint of prohibited personnel practice or OSC Form 12, Whistleblower Disclosure, to provide information about perceived wrongdoing on the part of a federal agency.
