Each and Every building on this earth is surrounded by different energy-fields known as Devtas that are of vital importance in MahaVastu™.
There is a specific purpose behind the construction of a building. When an open space takes the shape of a building, it behaves like a scaled-down model of the Universe. Different energy-fields emerge automatically. As these energy-fields are directly related to human consciousness, they leave a significant impact on human mind, body and soul.
According to MahaVastu™, there are 45 Powers (energy-fields) in a building that directly manage the human consciousness. In Sanskrit, these energy-fields are termed as Devtas. The meaning of the word Dev is, 'the one who is self-Illuminating'. In a building, the combination of 45 Devtas is called Vastu Purush Mandala and the one who is carrying 45 Powers is Vastu Dev. One can find the detailed description of these 45 Powers in The Alchemy of Space by VastuShastri Khushdeep Bansal.
Every part of the building is under the influence of a particular energy-field, one can easily analyze the level of energy felt at some portion/place/space in a building. It is constructed in the form of a grid, known as Vastu Purush Mandala. For instance, Indra is the Devta of East and contains the power of controlling influence. Symbolically, Indra is considered as mind, the ruler of 5 physical senses. In a society, Indra represents the ruling power that connects and binds people together.
In the same manner, Yama is the Devta of complete rest and power to bring anything to its completion. Completion of one's life on this planet is known as death; so Yama is considered as the God of death. Varuna, the God of West is known to be the observer and controller of worldly affairs.
Soma, Devta of North zone, is a Vedic god of elixir of life. He is known for providing healing and sexual power. Bhudhar carries the power to manifest. Aryma has the power to connect with the world in order to find a mating companion to sustain the process of evolution. Vivaswat controls the change, which in turn, initiates the whole existence. Mitra, controls the power of bonding the world together; and, Aapah strengthens your immune system.
Based on the various attributes of these energy-fields, MahaVastu™ aims at ensuring the perfect placement of different activities in a building to achieve the peak performance in your life.
