A Look at Lake Tahoe Vacations - The Locals Often Say, There"s No Place Like Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is the perfect vacation spot nearly any time of the year.
In the summer the lake is beautiful and on the Nevada side the casinos, gift shops, restaurants, and shows are always in vogue.
On the California side is more of stunning beauty that can be seen all around the lake.
Of course, like all destination hotspots and travel vacation regions, the recession has taken a bit of the crowds away, and it has brought lower overall prices for budget travelers and seasoned vacationers alike.
Just outside of town is Stateline Village, which is a rather fun place to hang your hat for a week or two, and luckily there are condo rentals, and timeshare rentals available.
The locals are really nice, and mellow, it's just a great relaxing area, you'll know you have landed in the land of no-stress living, and that's the lifestyle you can enjoy during your visit.
South Lake Tahoe is also quite exciting, and it is one scenic paradise, with some rather excellent condo rentals at very fair prices.
So, you can head off and do a little gambling, spend some time at the lake, or in the winter, there is GREAT skiing.
It's a winter wonderland 6-months of the year.
The pine trees make the air smell fresh and you'll never want to leave.
Indeed, I've traveled there myself many times, and loved every minute.
The scenery grows on you, you cannot help but take it all in.
There are several great restaurants in the Tahoe Keys, and the Hyatt has some fantastic fine restaurants as well.
There are so many family owned fine restaurants to service the higher end clientele that lives and frequents the area, that you could stay a month and not visit them all.
Believe me, I've wanted too.
There are also kayak tours, wine tours, boat tours, and even a helicopter tour, and wow, they really treat the guests like royalty, you know it's my kind of place.
Indeed, maybe the locals are right; "There really is no place like Lake Tahoe," and that goes for any season too.
While you are there you might want to drive down the hill into Carson City, check out the train museum, and the State Capital Building, oh yes, and Governor's Mansion.
The entire area is kept up quite nice, and I guarantee you once you go, you'll want to put it on your perpetual travel list; it's on mine.
