A lot of potential business ideas are lost every day because the people who thought them up did not have the spirit or the guts to follow them through. This is what has led to the evolution of the term chair thinkers. These are people who think thingsamazing things sometimeswhile sitting in their chairs. But they dont go ahead and implement them. Are you a chair thinker as well?

What you are lacking in is the spirit of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is what makes you succeed in your business venture. In implementing the idea you have thought about. If this one quality is lacking in you, you will stay a chair thinker and will possibly only see other people going ahead of you in the rat race everyone is involved in right now.

What is entrepreneurship actually? This is your potential for doing business, but it is not just that. It is also leadership qualities because every businessperson has to manage a lot of people. If you are a good extractor of work from other people, you will do well as an entrepreneur. Then you also need to know time management and money management. You have to know how to make the most of the resources you have, how to get the maximum bang for your buck.

However, these are the very things that intimidate people who just think, or our chair thinkers. They get worried about how they will manage people, time and money and how they will conform to the policies the government lays down for running businesses and thats why they dont take any forward steps. If these are things that are pulling you down as well, here are some things that you should do.

1. Read up on stories of people who are popular businesspersons today. You will find that even people like Bill Gates have risen up from virtually nothing. Such stories give you encouragement. They motivate you. You begin to feel that if these people have done it, you will be able to do it as well.

2. Make plans. When you make solid practical plans to actually put your idea into action, you feel more confident about what you are going to do. Make plans on how you will use your resources.

3. Take trusted people with you. These could be your spouse or your family relative or a good friend that you can trust. Tell them of your idea and see what they have to say about its viability. Then tell them you are looking at building on that idea and creating a business out of it. In most likelihood, they will back you all the way. And when you interact with them more, you gain more in confidence.

These are the basic things you need and we arent even speaking about the resources. The reason for that is once you have the basic ingredients you need, the resources can be arranged for. For instance, if you are sure you have to entrepreneurially tap on your idea, you will muster the courage to go ahead and seek financial assistance. The resources will come in; it is only important that you take those very vital initial steps.
