    Positive Feedback

    • Positive feedback is feedback given to praise something an employee has done correctly. It should relate to a specific behavior and note its benefits. It should also encourage the employee to maintain a similar level of performance in the future.

    Negative Feedback

    • Negative feedback is feedback given to point out something an employee has done wrong or suboptimally and to help prevent similar mistakes in the future. It should always clearly explain what should have been done and encourage improvement.

    Receptiveness Factors

    • There are several factors that can contribute to an employee's receptiveness to performance feedback. These factors include the credibility of the person providing the feedback, the quality of the feedback, the content of the feedback and the effectiveness of its delivery.
