- 1). Insert your Ubuntu installation disc into your computer and restart it. As the computer starts up, press the boot menu key, displayed on the screen when the computer first boots.
- 2). Click the "Install Ubuntu" button, choose your time zone and then click the "Forward" button.
- 3). Choose your keyboard layout, then click "Forward."
- 4). Select the drive on which you want to install Ubuntu. (If you have more than one drive on your Dell server, each drive will appear individually.)
- 5). Click the "Forward" button, then enter your name, your desired username, your password (twice) and the name of the computer. Click the "Forward" button once finished, then click the "Install" button. Ubuntu will install on your computer; you can use it once the installation process finishes.
