  Nursing is undoubtedly a growing field in today's booming health care industry and there are numerous programs at universities and colleges expanding throughout the country. Nonetheless, for those with strong religious beliefs, finding the right learning environment can be a challenge.   Grand Canyon University's College of Nursing & Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. Both programs offer a combination of current scientific methods and training with Christian teachings and values. The college's philosophy emphasizes the role of nurses as both medical professionals and caretakers. Students can enter the program their first year or with transfer credits from another institution. There's also a fast paced adult education program for licensed nurses who want to complete their B.S. in Nursing in a little over a year. Graduates in the past have been recruited in large numbers by many health care facilities.

  Wayland Baptist University has numerous locations, including campuses in both Sierra Vista and Tucson, Arizona. The university's nursing program offers Bachelor's of Science in Nursing to both registered nurses and entry level students. Registered nurses with prior experience can complete the degree program in one year as a full-time student and those entering the program receive their degrees after two years of study. The university aims to both be academically and professionally challenging in a Christian oriented environment.

Conclusion

• Christian nursing degree programs--especially in Arizona--are very few. Grand Canyon University, however, has the strongest program for aspiring candidates. If one decides to receive their training out-of-state they will have increased options available to them. If they choose to remain in Arizona, however, the number of schools--but not the quality of their education or training--will be limited.
