What Are the Benefits of a Home Based Business? Are They True Benefits?

The benefits of a home based business really starts by the same benefits of a traditional business.
If you own a small business, when you have employees, that is where you get leverage for your time.
This is the single most important benefit anyone can get.
We all have 24 hours in a day.
We can not change that.
However, you can be more productive in that limited resource.
Just like traditional business, if you have employees, they can be working while you can be doing something you like, spend time with family, vacation and traveling, or just on a hobby.
You can control how much time you put into your business, so once it is established, others will be working when you are not.
But, it also has a factor on your income.
I tell people I mentor, you should ask yourself a question and you need to look in the mirror when doing it, "If everyone that I work with does exactly what I did today, would I be happy with the results?".
You can work when you want and for as long as you want, but you do have to work some.
Now, one of the pitfalls to some of the home based business is that you ask what the benefits are to the home business.
I ask the question, do you work from home 100% of the time or at least 95% of the time.
If you are attending meetings, presentations in others homes, going to someone else's home to work, are you really working a home based business? My answer would be no.
I would look at other opportunities on where you can.
The next benefit is that you do not have to cover for overhead.
The building, Insurance, employees, energy, and inventory.
You are not paying employees to wait for your customers to show up.
These items will also reflect back into savings, because you will get benefits from the government.
You can save on clothing, gasoline, and food expenses when you work from home.
Many people eat out when they are on the job, and often spending more than they would if they ate at home.
Now, here are a couple areas that you can save money with, but you have to watch out for the distraction factor.
I have an article published that talks about ways to eliminate the distractions.
Such areas as child care would be additional costs you can avoid, but do it with caution.
