Money makes the world go round and the gathering of the root of all evil is an endless race.
The online industry has provided a wider scope of possibilities to do so.
From dating sites to file sharing to affiliate marketing companies, the opportunities are plenty.
Finally a charity, The Digital Death campaign, has climbed on the digital bandwagon and added some celebrity influence to help a cause.
The Digital Death campaign was launched on the first of December, along with World AIDS Day, to raise awareness about the dramatic and saddening impact of HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
Donating to a charity has never been simpler.
Even for the digital folks.
As easy as it is to buy via e-commerce or it is now to keep a child alive.
The top celebrity tweeps on Twitter and Facebook have sacrificed their digital lives until $1,000,000 is raised in donations for the Keep a Child Alive organization.
Not until the money is raised for the worthy cause will any of these celebrities update their profiles on social media.
Followers and fans can resuscitate the celebs from the Digital Death campaign by buying back their digital lives through texting or visiting the website to make a donation.
The Digital Death campaign has quite the shock factor with celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga lying in coffins with pale faces surrounded by the flower of death.
Alicia Keys, who started the Keep a Child Alive organization, commented on CNN that society turns a blind eye to things that are depressing and need to be shook up and prodded to do something.
