Regardless of your current state of health, it's always possible you can be diagnosed with a serious medical condition and that can include Type 2 diabetes.
There are so many health problems to choose from, but reactions will probably still be the same.
It can depend on how you are told and who actually tells you.
It can also depend on whether you suspect anything is wrong and if the problem you suspect is what is confirmed.
What thoughts run through your mind when you hear the word Cancer? Forget what type for a moment...

Cancer is always spelt with a capital C because this disease tends to upset people.

When you receive a negative health diagnosis, it's a normal reaction to want to learn more.
Nowadays it's easy to Google your questions and find plenty of information.
Some doctors even suggest doing this.
However, you must be careful to avoid information overload, or to read material that isn't accurate.
Only look at legitimate medical sites.
Ask your doctor if he knows the best sites for you to visit.
Arming yourself with knowledge can make you feel better mentally because it's the fear of the unknown that makes your imagination go crazy.
You may wonder why you developed Cancer.
Did you do something wrong? Did you spend too much time out in the sun or in a tanning salon? Maybe you ignored several early symptoms because you didn't want to go to the doctor.
Men are frequently guilty of this because they don't like to appear weak in front of family and friends.
But in today's society, it's certainly common sense to consult your doctor if you notice anything unusual about your body and health.
You may be told you have no health issue, and that would be fantastic news.
But you might be told you do have a problem requiring treatment immediately in order to avoid further complications.
There are various forms of treatment and they depend on the type of Cancer, its location and how far it has or has not spread.

Being overweight, not exercising, smoking and drinking alcohol are areas you can alter to help prevent developing Type 2 diabetes and several types of cancer.
