There are different nutrients you need to supply your body in order to stay healthy.

Water is also in food as well as in drinks, so you can get your daily supply of water by eating fruits like an orange or pineapple.
Food is also needed for our bodies to survive.
Food contains proteins, and that protein is needed in our body for growing healthy muscle tissue.
Protein is found in a wide variety of foods such as meat, eggs, and poultry products.
The food contains the amino acids needed to build muscle as well as help make some of the hormones in our bodies.
Blood cells and hair is also made from protein.
With proteins, our bodies need an adequate amount of fats and carbohydrates to provide us enough energy throughout the day.
The main function for fats are used for energy during intense activity, like exercising, carbohydrates are primarily used for less intense activities, like sitting, and other movements.
Both the fats and the carbohydrates that we eat in a day can be stored for later use as fat, so it is important to consume enough energy, but also important to monitor intake in order to stay slim and healthy.
