The 2,500 cc engine is available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive; the 3,500 cc engine is available in two-wheel drive only. The Mark X has an automatic transmission.

    Fuel Efficiency and Emissions

    • The 2010 Mark X introduced new fuel-efficiency standards. The car runs on gasoline. The Mark X exceeds Japanese fuel efficiency standards. Efforts to improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions resulted in these outcomes. The fuel efficiency for the 2.5-liter two-wheel-drive models is 13.0km/liter, while the 3.5-liter two-wheel-drive models get a rating of 10.2km/liter. Toyota states that the Mark X CO2 emissions levels are 75 percent lower than the 2005 levels required under the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Approval System for Low-emission Vehicles.

    Steering, Brakes, Suspension

    • The Mark X has rack and pinion steering. It comes with ventilated front disc brakes and rear disc brakes. The vehicle also has double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.
