2000: More track changes. Length now 1.99 miles
2001: Even more track changes. Length now 2.0 miles
2002: Incredibly, even more track changes. Length now back to 1.99 miles

One of only two road courses on the NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule Sonoma in California always puts on a close and interesting race.
This race track was formerly known as Sears Point Raceway until Infineon Technologies, a German company, purchased the naming rights in 2002. In 2012 Infineon decided not to renew its contract and the raceway was renamed once again simply to "Sonoma."
