- 1). Log on to your computer and go to http://www.homesales.gov.
- 2). Once at the website, there will be an interactive map of the United States. From here, choose a state where you are interested in looking at houses.
- 3). The following screen will take it a step further and ask you to choose a specific city or cities. There is also an option to choose the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Once all information is selected, choose "search for properties."
- 4). All houses within the given search parameters will appear. From here, information about the house is listed for your review. There may also be information or notes specifically for those interested in purchasing the property.
- 5). If you find a house you are interested in learning more about, or for information in general, a few links are provided to help you get started, including "Find a HUD registered agent," "First-time home buyers" and "How to buy a HUD home."
