- 1). Provide the Easter cactus with bright but indirect sunlight while it is indoors.
- 2). Set the Easter cactus outside in dappled shade in spring, and allow it to remain out until just before the first frost in the fall. Under the canopy of a tree is an ideal spot.
- 3). Mix 1 teaspoon of 15-30-15 fertilizer into a gallon of water. Use this to fertilize the Easter cactus after the plant comes out of dormancy in early spring. As soon as you see new growth, water the soil with the fertilizer solution.
