How to Move a Big Project to School

    • 1). Time yourself as you assemble all the elements of the school project at home. Set the project up in the same fashion in which it will appear at the school.

    • 2). Apply small adhesive labels to an inconspicuous section on each piece. Write sequential numbers on each adhesive label. Note the total number of items for future reference.

    • 3). Consolidate all the separate parts of the disassembled project into an organized stack. Measure the dimensions of the stack. Locate a vehicle large enough to hold all the consolidated elements of the project.

    • 4). Time the trip from the current project location to the school in the selected vehicle. Add the travel time to the assembly time for a minimum time-allotment total.

    • 5). Schedule physical assistance for any project parts you are unable to move without help. Load the consolidated stack of project pieces into the vehicle when the minimum time allotment plus one hour is remaining before project showtime. The additional hour generally provides a sufficient time cushion for unloading and any other unforeseen complications such as traffic.

    • 6). Drive the project to the school. Move the individual parts of the project to the setup location. Assemble the big school project once all the numbered pieces have been tallied.
